Thanks for that Steve.  Very interesting.  Any idea who made up the Lynn Board of Directors in this day ?  I guess Merlin was Chair.

Merlin was Chairman with Mike Alcock as Vice Chairman. Mike Alcock had a haulage business based at Leziate and if I recall correctly he organised the pitch overhaul to include the drainage system.

Mike Alcocks business was based where Sandles Car business is now (is that Pott Row or Leziate).

Martin Brundle now owns and lives in Mike Alcocks ex home, on the outskirts of Gayton.

If it's the same Mike Alcock, i remember him as a young man, when he worked for his father who i think started with a coal delivery business in Gayton? At the time (late 1960's) we ran the Rampant Horse pub in Gayton and Mike was an occasional customer.

The same one. I don't know if he was a general Haulier, but I know the place at Pott Row was a coal storage depot.

Interesting the ownership model back then was basically Saddleton and Alcock.  I seem to recall this was followed by a single ownership model in John Dolomites.  Who were Next in line after he went ? And before Bobbins took over. Seem to recall there were a few Directors in situ on his watch but maybe only him and Chinn who really ran the show.

This all was then followed by Buster Chapman’s family, so really single ownership.  Then of course SC with yet another same ownership model.
