Interesting the ownership model back then was basically Saddleton and Alcock.  I seem to recall this was followed by a single ownership model in John Dolomites.  Who were Next in line after he went ?
Directors: John Scales (Chairman), Colin Nichols (Vice Chairman) Mike Brannon, Jim Chandler, Gary Hart and Nigel Link. Sid Link was the Company Secretary.
There was also a management committee.

Mike Alcock certainly did have a transport business, as I previously mentioned it was based in Leziate. Don`t remember how many lorries he had altogether but there were several

Alcocks Transport operated form these premises in Station Road, Leziate. Later on Cooper Transort operated from the yard but now Ben-Bec Plant Services & Howard Hire Roadsweepers operate from the yard as per modern day photo attached.

He owned both Mike Alcock Transport Limited and Alcocks Transport Limited.

By the looks of it, one operated from Leziate, and the other from Pott Row.
I don't do drugs and I don't drink.
At my age I can get the same effect just by standing up too fast.
