Peterborough Sports away
« on: November 02, 2023, 06:07:25 PM »
Important game Saturday.  After taking 7 points from the last 5 games feel it’s important to get something from this one.  Can’t think it’s going to be a pretty game but now feel we have the resolve to grind out games and get some kind of return.

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Agreed, something from the game would be good - like a point. If we got three that would be amazing. We can’t expect too much in reality as we’re two basement clubs so let’s travel, as they say, “More in hope than expectation”.

Have to think Gash and Sports are overachieving.  Big money backer gone, Manager like Dean gone.  Factor in them being a part time club and running on a low budget with gates averaging around 350.

Should we really be happy coming away with just a point ? Just asking

Big money backer gone
They tend to do that, sooner or later.

Last season we went there in really good form and squeaked the win thanks to a bit of Barrett magic but as we all know we are a different team now.  Will be interesting to see how AL's system of just staying in shape and not actually challenging for the ball until it gets to our box works on their postage stamp pitch, space will be at a premium but hopefully Ben's goal last weekend will see him rediscover a bit of confidence.

Still no news on the injury front to the likes of Hughes who we still really miss, yet again a much heralded media reset at the start of the season becomes more of the same well before Christmas, not a pop at any individual as it is something that has continued through different media teams / management set ups.

I agree Tony the media side is all back to hit and miss.  It’s like most things at the Club.  Commercial side, Media.   In fairness SC running a one man show he maybe has more important issues to deal with , cultivating the investment opportunities that he has on the table.

Does 'the table ' actually exist, or is it a figment of someone's rather vivid imagination?

Not that I can find.
Radio Norfolk is covering Dereham v Fakenham

That's normal now, commentary, I just get used to it being non- existent. Never used to be. Radio Norfolk put Dereham as a higher priority than Lynn.

Twice this season Radio Norfolk, at the start of the week,  have said they will be providing commentary of a Lynn match only to change their minds by the Friday.

Key named on the bench for second game running today. Who is he please? Couldn't see any mention on the pen pictures page.

What’s happened to the goalkeeper, Dixon Hodge, I believe was his name, last heard of as injured, but is he injured, left the club or indeed sitting around the said table.
