Brilliant performance and brilliant win. Congratulations to the manager and all the players. One match doesn’t make a season so let’s stay grounded. We won’t suddenly shoot up the NLN and beat all teams we come across but let’s enjoy the moment and hope for better things in the coming months.

A brilliant result and a continuation of the improvement under AL.
What a pity that it is only worthy of a couple of comments which is surprising , actually it isn't as all the negative posters on here have not a good word to say when results are improving but are quick to jump in feet first when things are not going so well.

It was a great result. Congratulations to the management team and players. My continuing 'argument and concerns' are not with them!

What a result that was !!! Moved us another place away from the danger zone.  Looking at the bigger picture AL is certainly stamping his mark in things.  We now look difficult to beat and competing for every ball and actually outfought and outmuscled The Iron last night.  Ok Scunny had the lion’s share of possession, which with the budget, talent, and share size of a former Championship Club you would expect.  Lynn though matched all of that and more with determination which comes with a squad where each individual knows their job and collectively had the Will to win.

One downside was the size of the crowd.  Thought Scunny would have brought more and certainly thought Lynn would have had a lot more.  A game like that should have produced an 1800-2000 gate.  I guess times are hard

Great result last night and each and every player put in a shift which, along with the promised increase in fitness levels, were things that AL highlighted on his appointment and based on last night is starting to make good on.  I personally don't like the 'concede possession and defend our box' style that we have moved to but happy to see the upturn in results that AL's methods have produced.  Lots of good performances last night but special mention for Cybulski who had another very good game, often finding himself isolated, particularly in the second half but still managed to hold the ball up and wait for support too arrive.

Agree with you on Bart, Tony. When he first arrived I really didn’t fancy him at all.  Under AL he has become a totally different animal.  Never stopped running all night and not ya typical big man down the middle type, was pulling their central defenders into positions I’m sure they didn’t want to be.

Fully agree with the Cybulski comments. Second half, a more selfless 45 minutes you'll struggle to see. Talk about playing for the team.

A couple of positives from the gaffer for me. Firstly I was surprised to see the same XI named that had lost at home only 3 days previously. History suggests you'd expect at least one change. But no, the manager backed his players and they responded.

Secondly, the way we let them have the ball and defended the final 3rd in the second half. Possession stats for that second half must have been nigh on 80% Scunthorpe! In a modern world that seems still obsessed with the "high press", AL backed the team to sit back and, despite being on the backfoot, it never really felt like we were hanging on at any time.

On to Stourbridge in the Trophy. Clean sheet would be nice. If there's one criticism recently it has been the poor quality of the goals we've shipped (header from a corner yesterday and a series of errors on Saturday). But 1 defeat in 6 says we're heading in the right direction. How well have the 2 loan lads fitted in by the way?

Great result.  Late post as have been away.  Let’s hope they build on that and climb further into the safety zone.  The idea of ceding possession and defending the box for an entire half, however, was deliberate, or likely to win very often!  But, again, we’ll done, and fingers crossed…
