LYNNPLAY COVERAGE?
« on: November 22, 2023, 08:58:30 PM »
So no interview from our fulltime management team after Scarborough debacle? We might get the goal highlights (or lowlights) from Scarborough eventually but not from Lynn - because we lost.

The club may be full time but it seems less than professionally run at the moment.

No comments on here about how we played at Scarborough, I've never known such a mood of general malaise across the club, including supporters.

Last two results for sure are disappointing.  Was surprised that after the Manager’s comment post Stourbridge that he went with the same starting 11.  Be interesting after Tuesday performance what he goes with at Tamworth.

The new guy comes across as a really good guy but then so was Mark Hughes.  AL has gained 14 points out of a possible 30.  Which is not a bad return, however we are now back in the drop zone.  Honeymoon period over ?

Important period pre Christmas coming up.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Yes, important few weeks now.

Hughes had 8 points from 10 I believe, if memory serves me....which would mean Lakeland has 14 points from 10, but that includes wins over Darlington, Stortford and Rushall who are all right down there. General feeling seems to be that there is a discernible improvement in fitness, team spirit, organisation and effort. Very difficult for AL to get much more out of current squad perhaps and no real money for new players I am guessing and in any case extremely difficult to pick up at this stage. We also have no one who would go for decent money, apart maybe from JB who is injured and Crowther who is key to the defensive line. On a really tough run of fixtures too....let's hope for something from Tamworth....another difficult place to go.

.

Apparently the podcast said we didn't sell enough players.

Who exactly did he think we were going to sell that would bring decent money in?  :dontknow:

Surely we must have got a kings ransom for Widdler Jun from Aldershot ? 😂.   I wonder if SC has factored in the compo he seemed confident he would get from Aldershot/TW for him walking out on  his contract.   Or will this be another story that disappears up it’s own exhaust pipe ?

The mystery stand sponsor not renewing must have also had an effect on finances this season.

Give it time!  :)
