That’s 3 away games and 3 losses, am I worried of course l am, but the Manager knows what he needs to do but it’s getting the players in that he needs and that’s the worry

Can’t say it was any surprise getting done at Tamworth.  Like it or not we ain’t at that level these days.  What was more worrying was AL’s post match interview.  Very few positives it seems there at the moment.

Next Saturday at home to Banbury is looking a very pivotal game in our season.  The opposition are sitting just above us, got beat Saturday at home, so really feel this is game that we must be targeting to take all 3 points.

After 3 defeats on the spin it and then into December will be interesting to see what crowd turns up for this one.

AL has come in with high praise from Chairman as the best Manager at this level.  With a win rate of around 30%, since he joined us, then it’s time for him to step up to the mark

In fairness to AL, you can only work with what you have available.

Money appeared to be in abundance for the majority of previous Managers, to help in achieving their objectives. That is so obviously not the case now.

Punching above our weight previously, due to "financial doping". Now living a bit more in the real world. I say "bit more" as I'm sure the Club is still being financially propped up by outside sources, and will probably require more of the same if/when the big loan starts to be repaid.

Doubtful that anyone could do a better job than AL is at the moment, with the obvious financial restraints he's under.

Fair points there B&G re AL.  However the reason MH was sacked and Adam brought in was surely for us to retain our step 2 status ?  When he came in he would have known the budget he was working with.  Though I admit it does seem strange he has only brought in two young loaners, would have thought he would have maybe changed the squad a bit more.   In his interview he seemed to be concerned about how weak we are from set pieces. So maybe he will need bring in a few experienced players to toughen things up.

As for the loan repayment.  Can’t see what difference it will make to the Club’s balance sheet as will we not be swapping the loan repayment ( plus the interest) for more in the Directors Loan Column.  Seems the hole will just get deeper and deeper

It will effect the cash flow.

From not having a monthly payment to find, to having a monthly payment to find.

I know which I'd prefer.

Re budget. It would be interesting to know if the budget AL was told he had to play with, and the amount he is now working with, are one and the same.

SC is off to the States looking for ‘investment’, I use the word loosely. If SC doesn’t pull one then he has the choice of sticking in an extra £2k a month to repay the loan or cut the budget further.   Either next season should see the club revert back to part time, surely ?  Mind being full time doesn’t seem to have done us any favours this season.

Are we the only team in say the bottom 6 who are full time ?

The manager apparently warned the players that Tamworth were dangerous from set plays, yet we allow them to score three goals from them. So what the hell do these full timers do on the training pitch? In fact what exactly are the benefits of being full time at our level???

With regard to the chairman seeking outside investment. What exactly are the assets that might attract a legitimate investor? Still, with Christmas imminent there might be someone out there looking to purchase a cowboy outfit as a present?

It all just goes to show that God isn't the only one that works in mysterious ways!

Mallard. We've had anonymous Stand sponsors. Maybe we'll see anonymous investors.
