If the chairman put the club up for sale, there are plenty of people with money including myself who would be interested, in taking over, based on SC leaving the club, unfortunately he is only looking to get investors while he stays in charge. Personally as a supporter of many years, I think it may be a good thing to get relegated and go back to be part time. Be in local leagues with local players, being a supporter 20-30 years ago when he a min of 1000 at games playing teams like Coalville, Team bath, Wisbech etc was a much more of an enjoyable time supporting the club.
There is a post on Facebook about boycotting the next game, in protest at Mr. Stephen Cleeve .In my opinion, people should do the exact opposite! Turn up and support our team! We all know the club has financial issues, and we've been here before, with the club failing to finish the season, and having to start over at a lower level. I'm sure nobody wants it to happen again. I know he doesn't make it easy to back him,but in reality, what choice do we have? Him selling up?What would any potential buyer actually be getting for what would be a considerable amount of money? Not much I would think! Would a big new investor come in and work with him? I doubt that. The only way to have any hope for the club going forward, is to back OUR TEAM! That means attending games, supporting the players when they need it most.I know it's not easy but the club needs support more than ever! COYL!
