Club has just announced new investment in the club, on Facebook. I must admit I have never heard of them.   :

Turn Sports Investments (TSI) invests into sports related projects globally and is anchored by Turn Capital. In Jan 2024, TSI invested in King’s Lynn Town Football Club, a National League North football club based in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, England. Nicknamed ‘The Linnets’, it plays at the Walks. Its roots can be traced back to at least 1881.  The club has a thriving academy which has already produced its first Premier League player in Joe Taylor and has developed and sold players to the Championship, League 1 and 2, the National League and the National League North and South – all in just a few short years.  The club was voted Community Club of the Year in 2023 and with its charity, Linnets in the Community, it has made a huge difference to the lives of local residents.

Since Stephen Cleeve’s arrival in 2016, the club has beaten Port Vale and Doncaster in the FA Cup as well as playing Portsmouth, Walsall and Stevenage in the same competition.  The club has had two promotions in recent years and with a successful network of teams at all age groups, from Under 23’s to Under 6’s, the best is yet to come.

You think, this is interesting, until you read their slant on the Joe Taylor story. Then its a case of.................."here we go".

Most of the information you will read on the internet about this Company will be self composed and probably explains someones recent excitement over Crypto currency. Lets see how the connection develops.

Quote from their Chairman:   "I believe a sustainable business is a pre-requisite for any club’s advancement ...............................”

Well, well! Someone started to subscribe to that line of thought all of a sudden?   :banghead;

So, are we going to be informed how much is coming into the Club?

Have shares been sold?

Were the Council aware of this, as they are actual owners of the Walks?

What exactly is the deal, the terms, the conditions? I doubt any money coming in is a gift, so are we now another half million in debt? How's that going to be repaid? It was only last week we couldn't afford to pay the existing loan and regular expenditure? Has another revenue stream suddenly opened?

It sure looks like the Club is ok again. Phew !!!

With all this investment coming in can we expect a good few signing to be joining with some of the players not up to the required standard departing ?

With all this good news coming in can the fans assume now that the deal for Adam Crowther is now off?  Surely any investor worth their salt would want to hang on to a prime asset to get us out of trouble.

Lakeland must be contacting new players to strengthen.  The only only way is up.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

As usual B&G we can count on you to turn any positive into a negative.
Reading your points pulling apart the deal I'm surprised that with your buisness acumen that you are not listed on the Stock Exchange let alone Wall Street or running a football club.  :mystic:

Lots of question I’m sure buzzing about now.  Hopefully SC will put a lot of things to bed after a good news day ( boy were we due one).

Will the new investor be stumping up the £300k to get us through to the season end or will he be also giving the Manager a transfer fund to get us out of the current hole we find ourselves in. I guess the next couple of weeks will answer that.

Are we now under new owners with SC just being the front man ?

Has the actual deal been done and monies to deposited or is it more a heads of terms agreement reached with due diligence to take place?

Exciting times.

Sounds too good to be true but this, what appears to be, an experienced investor must see something in the current owner and KLFC that many others do not.  The press release doesn’t make it clear whether the deal is pre or post due diligence.  I will follow this with expectant interest.

Feeling a bit Crabby today Norm?

As  negative as you always are when other people opinions don't suit yours. Rather sad really, but it takes all kinds.

Your post was expected, although your absence was noted during the past few weeks when the Chairman himself announced that the club was unlikely to reach the end of the season. Where were you then? No opinion, negative or otherwise to express then?

Nice attempt to make it personal though. :laughcry:

Before you post, can I suggest you do some homework?

Careful North, you'll have someone coming down on you for not toeing  the party line.

Due diligence? I wonder if Stephen has done his? Or if he has, chosen to ignore the results?

Not to worry though, if funds don't come through there will be others he can blame?

I'll say no more on due diligence and let others do their own research and wait to see if they post their results.
