At both ends of the pitch there is a rectangle with nets around it.....that's what you are aiming at. Boring, boring football from Lynn. Margetts on bench...why. What's going on at Lynn, best manager in the league, not a clue on it apart from one or two. Jones....thank goodness he is there.

Last Feb  at The Walks Chester attracted nearly 1500 through the gate.  What’s that around £10k in gate revenue alone.

Maybe Stephen could do a P/L account on the two games to show us where we were and where we are.  I’m sure it would make interesting reading.

Just listened to the manager's post match interview. All about, spirit, hard work and making life difficult for the opposition. Creativity and scoring goals? Stephens unavailability the primary problem???

Today's results saw Gloucesrer and Darlington close the gap on us.

Ahead of us, both Spenny and Southport lost, so the chasing pack have narrowed the gap.

Although we are not alone with gates declining why have they declined by such a big amount?25% reduction on last season. That can't just be down to the fans not liking the style of football (term used very loosely) as other clubs that are in similar form to us aren't struggling with attendence anywhere near as much.
One example is our old mate Setch.Corby are having a horrendous time but their gates are only down 6%. Today they still had  643 there and remember they are only at step 4. 643 at step 4, 847 at step 2. Ridiculous. And they haven't  got the benefit of a Singapore businessman putting money in.
People are fed up with the whole package at Lynn from the Chairman down.It's not just the poor results and the abysmal football that's keeping them away.
They'll all wake up again once this nightmare is over.

Darlo at Banbury Tuesday night.  Gloucester at home next Saturday to...... Kings Lynn.  No pressure there then.

Gloucester smashed B Stortford 4-1 today.

I've never been so bored at a football match as I was today it was absolutely dire.Constant hoof football which I cannot justify paying for anymore.

“Spirit, hard work, making things difficult for the opposition”….  He missed out “Phyicality, Character, and That Holding Role”, (plus others)…..  We’re down, unless we make several changes to the squad, and the manager has a Eureka moment when it suddenly hits him that it’s a ball game!!!…..

Mixed emotions on leaving the Walks today.  On one hand there was at last some clear shape to the team and a clear game plan which the players managed to execute and got a well deserved point.  On the other, we are full-time team with a much lauded manager who set a team up with 8 men to defend our box and two lads up front whose main role seemed to be to hold it up and draw fouls to allow us to try and create a chance from a set piece. 

Difficult to criticise too much given how poor we were on Tuesday evening and we were never likely to come out and go toe to toe in a passing game with Chester so we effectively became the away team, made the game as scrappy as possible and you know something strange is going on when the home keeper is warned for timewasting in the first half.  Given relative form and confidence it has to be seen as a point gained but results elsewhere and with games running out AL has to come up with something more positive for next weekend.

Agree with Happy - Barrett was too good for our current team, and probably felt the manager knew the talk (the cliches) but not the walk (the game).  I don’t see how AL can come up with anything for the next game, because only the players can, and we don’t have the players of the type needed.  Sad indeed, but I think we could finish last.

Matters not if we finish ‘last or 4th bottom Dilly.  End result is the same.  Object is 5th bottom which is as good as 7th top.  Same end result.

Barrett has gone guys time to move on.

No surprise there Dills  Barrett has, in my view 3 months to get himself fit and prove he's worth a contract with Widdrington at Aldershot or his full time football is over. Very telling that no other offers came in for him, despite his availability being touted......different class indeed.


I am hoping for a win at Gloucester next week ......and then a little run which might just pull us clear. Some will think me over optimistic, but I feel that's the way to be. Don't see the point in being so negative, when we know the squad is short and there's little that can be done about it currently. Typical of some on here to really go the full hog on negativity.........very helpful Dilly to predict that Stortford might overtake us.

I guess if we get a minor miracle and AL turns it around, you will be saying it's because he has had his Eureka moment and has now caught up with you, in his thinking.
