Sounds like the weather hasn't helped them but they still hope to be finished in time, if they do need a bit more time I hope the league take a common sense approach and give them an extension, it's no way to be relegated and however much we might want to retain our NLN place, wouldn't want it to be down to the weather sending another club down.

An interesting country from which to recruit. I doubt though whether footballers will become their primary export commodity?

Not really sure that is where SC should be spending his time but I accept we do have different ideas of what the priorities are at KLTFC.  Personally I think when he said in the podcast that it would be difficult that is probably an understatement and not sure how he could get through the requirements laid out here https://www.davidsonmorris.com/visa-to-play-football-in-the-uk/  That said we did get Ronan and Twite into the squad at the start of this season so presumably SC managed to jump through all the legal hoops for those two to be eligible - both from English speaking countries so do we know if either one or both maybe holds dual nationality?

I haven’t followed the story, but South American countries always produce good technical players.  I doubt they ever factor in modern EFL nonsense like “winning. Fouls”, and “committing little fouls to break up the oppositions play”!  I know their greats, anyone’s greats, are way above our level, but that country rate nippy skills above other aspects of the game, including those mentioned that aren’t actually part of the game!  So perhaps we might have some more Barrett’s on the way, only fitter!

Think it is very difficult to make sweeping judgements about any 'national' traits nowadays and I am not sure that the players coming out of the PL / EFL academies have any less technical ability than those of other countries (as might have been argued in, say, the 80s).  I think there are far more pressing issues around the club than spending lots of time (which by SC's own admission he doesn't have enough of) on looking at foreign recruitment.

Mall- Argentina have had a few since 66.  That one in 86 wasn’t bad - what was his name?!!  And the one in ‘22 wasn’t bad either!  They would both have been on the bench at KL for not “putting in a shift”!  Then they’ would cone on for some “minutes” in the last quarter, win the game, and the manage would be praised for his “brilliant substitutions”!!!

So Maradona and Messi both won it by themselves Dilly ?   Both World class no question.  However they had other players keeping the opposition out at the other end.

With Europe leading the way on a World level maybe we would be better looking at Countries like Portugal where the infrastructure drops off a Cliff outside the top two leagues.  They have produced the odd player who could play a bit Dill
