3-0 win for Southport at Warrington.    Darlo thrash Scunny at home 4-0 and Rushall take Three points at Banbury with a 2-1 win.   

Lynn drop two places to 20th, level on points with 21st Darlo

  Next 3 games could make or break us , especially as we have away at Bishops Stortford then Rushsll Olympic at home!

Saturday away at Spartans won't be a walk in the park, as they fight to stay out of the bottom 4.

Banbury v Southport will be an inyeresting result for us, irrespective of where the points end up.

After tonights result, Darlington must believe they have a good chance against Spennymoor.

If you look at the current league standings I think that any of the teams up to and including Buxton (14th) who are only 8 points clear of Lynn could be drawn into a relegation battle.
With just about parity in games now being reached the current positions are more of a true reflection.
Of these teams mentioned Darlington and Lynn are the in form teams if you take the last 5 results.
One plus is that Lynn have played a game less than Darlington.
Very interesting last 10 games with lots of points still at stake.

  Another Tuesday night with topsy turvey results. Looking at my crystal ball looks like 10 clubs in a fight to take 2 of the 4 relegation spots. Hopefully we can do well in the next2 games to increase our chances of survival.

How quickly things have changed, now we have 1 or 2 games in hand of most of the teams around us.
Draw game in hand and we go above Blyth into 18th, win game in hand and we go above Farsley into 17th.
What a turnaround in the last half a dozen games, full credit to AL, his staff, players and lady luck changing.

Guest of honour ? Surely if he has propped the club up and saved it from going under then he maybe has a majority share in the Club.

I don't think anybody can dispute the impact Joe's contribution has made.Things look as if they have changed on and off the pitch which leads me to believe that Joe's involvement is more than just pumping cash in and maybe he has given someone a crash course in how to run a business.I hope he pays us a visit soon as a guest of honour.

I would love to know what motivated Joe to invest.

 We must not worry what other teams are achieving, we must go out with the aim of winning as many of our remaining fixtures as possible. For the first time in a long while, (basically all season ) we are now in with a fighting chance to remain in this league, it’s really not been good this season but we do seem to be playing better and with this have indeed come more points. The club’s destiny is now up to the players and management to guide us through the next 2 months.

The mystical Joe and Mr Cleeve would seem to be a match made in heaven? Customers will be expected to do their duty, continuing to turn up in numbers, regardless of whether the end justifies the means.

Reading an EDP column today I did find it strange that there was no credit given to the Saviour Joe.Without him we would have probably be finished by now.Also sounded to me that we should now get used to boring football,and Chelsea are no longer the club they were,presumably that’s since the Russians have departed.

The final bit of the EDP article takes some reading with SC preaching about how important the fans are yet we must be one of the worst clubs in the NLN in terms of communication WITH the fans, the club provides next to nothing in terms of news about the team, injuries etc and the EDP columns, programme notes and podcasts from the chairman are just a one sided conversation which certainly isn't fan engagement in my book.  Appreciate many fans only care about the club at 3pm on a Saturday and are happy with owners (if he does now have a stake) like Joe - happy to throw loads of money at the club for which they want nothing in return - but that isn't how sustainable clubs are built imo.

Question is do you want winning football or Football that is pleasing on the eye ?   Trouble is at Lynn with first Cully and the Tommy we had both.    I don’t think under AL you will get football that is pleasing on the eye.

Have to give Lakeland credit though he has turned around a disaster of a Managerial appointment and shocking player recruitment in the summer.   SC has been very lucky on two fronts, one to get a Manager in to dig him out of the first hole then to have Joe come in with cash on the hip to save him from taking the Club down a big black hole.
