A 3-0 lead ends up in a 3-4 defeat for the Linnets.

Shambolic second half.

How do you go from 11 games unbeaten to that?

No excuses.

Very disappointing and despite his interview just now it was his fault No good cancelling a day off on Wednesday when he made all the wrong calls
Surrendered midfield and invited them on , they took advantage of the space
He has one club in his bag, go defensive and see it out Northern grit Didn't work today

Seriously disappointing today…but who would have predicted our recent form?  Let’s just chalk it up and move on to ensure we stay up. Then next season is guaranteed and another story.

Imo
Awful substitute’s .. never would’ve took our main  goal threat off and just left Davenport on his own that left us with no attacking threat Bart has his critics but can’t see why Davenport start mostly ahead of Bart , then with Ronan on that left them 15min to attack us at their will .
AL done amazing but today was down to him .

Very disappointing.  Watched it on NLTV.  First half KLT were so tenacious.  On to everything in a flash, and won all the skirmishes. Their “skirmish” football was dominant enough to engineer chances, and they stuck them away with aplomb!  It looked as though S’carbto’ were in for a pasting, but then came half-time.  I could almost hear the team talk from the Seasider’s Bigwig… “Stand back a yard from the skirmishes- Get the ball on the ground and keep it there - Play in triangles, using, tricks, pass and go, and drop a shoulder when hemmed, and make chances galore”….  It worked., and disappointed us Linnets.  But our team have done very well, and we saw in the second half the standard of player needed to reach half way or go into the upper pantaloons of the league!…. Hopefully next season… Dilly is very appreciative of of the efforts of the Team managers, and particularly Steven Cleeve…

Totally agree Linnet. Being overran and outplayed in the second half, not keeping possession. The manager could see that, but he didn’t change anything. Definite foul on Crowe right in front of the linesman, but not given and then they made it 3-3. The target is to stay up and we are still looking good for that, big game at Banbury on Saturday.

Said “It worked”.  Meant to add” It always does”!  Football nearly always beats mere tenacity…..

At 3-0 up and survival all but guaranteed why change the side? You keep to the same system that was successful for the first 50 minutes.

Saw the standard of player needed to reach the upper pantaloons? You must be joking. They were an average side at the best and we totally dominated them in that first half and if we’d have kept it up we’d have won 4 or 5-0. We took our foot off the gas, took our most creative players off, and allowed them to have as much of the ball as they wanted. We went from the best half of football we’ve seen for a very long time, to quite possibly the worst half of football we’ve played this season.

I still think we’ll be safe but christ do we want to make hard work of it

First half we out battled them in every department.  2nd half certain players started looking ‘leggy’ and looked like it was 45 mins too far for some.  The 60/40s we were winning in the first half started going the other way.  Really surprising as AL seems to pride himself on having players mega fit.   Lack of options on the bench cost us today.

Results elsewhere didn’t favour us much as one would have hoped with both Darlo and Rushall picking up 3 points.    At Half time we were on the beach for the summer by the end of the game we still are in a dog fight.

Have to say though feel for the players playing on that surface.  Not much better than a park pitch.  Players can’t trust it and always seem to want another touch.  We gave away possession cheaply all afternoon.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?
