Leading up to the Euro tournament in June this year, I am conducting some research looking at fans’ views towards the role of football in response to military conflict. Sadly, I believe that many sports fans, not just football fans, don't care enough about such things as War and suffering of the World's population.

As long as money is pumped into their particular Sport or Club, at any level and irrespective of the source of such money, they are happy to go along with it.

Such is the craving for "success".

Sadly, I believe that many sports fans, not just football fans, don't care enough about such things as War and suffering of the World's population.

As long as money is pumped into their particular Sport or Club, at any level and irrespective of the source of such money, they are happy to go along with it.

Such is the craving for "success".

Success at almost any cost would seem to be the requirement for the majority at all levels, even if they are treated as customers rather than supporters, with the end seemingly justifying the means?

I've just completed the survey and as already said, some interesting questions.

I think the point of wanting success as mentioned on here is a valid statement.

I also think that when you are a fan of a team, it can cause irrational thinking/behaviour to how you would normally react in another situation.

We're a funny breed, us football fans!!
