Up until the 2nd half of The Scarborough game next season was going to be all about keeping the core of the squad and adding bits.   Now it seems on the back of a 135mins of Football then the ethos for next season may have changed.

Surely AL sees enough in training to know which players he can trust to do a job for him next season.  He’s on record as saying he doesn’t want to be Manager of a team struggling at the wrong of the table.

People I’m sure will see it very different to me but the quality of football we have witnessed this season has been poor.   AL has been at the helm now for some 6 months, changed the personal so what is he going to do for next season to make it more attractive.   Ripping that pitch up would be a good starting point.   Would a decent surface make any difference to the ‘style’ of football that the Manager will adopt ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

I think it’s fair ti say that no manager wants to managing a team struggling at the wrong end of the table. The second half v Scarborough was concerning, but it happens. Years ago I remember Lynn being 3-0 down at home to Alvechurch with just 20 minutes to go, we went on to win 4-3. Scarborough’s 3rd goal came directly after what looked like a foul on Crowe, had the free kick been given we may have still won that game. AL came in to keep us at this level and we are almost there. Margetts has made a big difference so hopefully we have him for next season.
The playing surface does need addressing and yes, it would make a difference. Not convinced on AL long term or his style of football, but let’s get through this season and then see what happens.

Can always tell on this forum when we've not won, or had a disappointing result.....

What's happened has happened we can't change it - if we lose to chorley on Tuesday  and Peterbourgh sports  and  Rushall both win  we go down 2 places  then there will be even more moaning and groaning. lets hope we win and  that should make us safe  then reset for next season

Whilst we aren't mathematically safe, I think we are in a better position than some and it is still very much in our own hands.  Personally I would like to see Peterborough win tonight as that would virtually ensure their survival and potentially make Saturday's fixture easier and a win for us at the weekend will probably be enough.  As far as I am concerned tonight is a bit of a free hit although given AL's track record against the better sides wouldn't be surprised to see us picking up a point.

Yet again NLN produces a cracking finish to the season with currently only 11th to 14th not having anything to play for, much has been made of the league being weaker this season but I am not convinced, what I find hard to justify is being full time as there doesn't seem to be that much between any of the teams.

:scarf: Thinks I will dispense with crystal ball, what a cracker of a game last night, maybe not for purists but fast paced and plenty of effort enough to keep us on our toes.
