All absolute madness...throw in VAR too......anything to hype the game up to a frenzy while the fundamentals of the game get ever more diluted in terms of stature and meaning.

The teams most deserving of promotion and best equipped to stay in the higher league are those that finish in the top spots after 42/46 games. (depending on the league format). That is especially true of the NL set up. How a team that just makes the playoffs and finishes well behind the top two in the NLN or NLS is supposed to be able to cope in the NL, heaven knows.

It all comes down to the level of drama that can be created.

The whole point of the current playoff setup is that it gives the "underdog" the chance to get promotion. Then more drama when they are fighting to stay in the league. And even more drama when they crash straight back down again.

It's not done in any way for the good of that "lucky" club, it's purely for the TV and media soundbites. Money talks.

By the way, who's got the money tree at the moment ? I'd like to borrow it for a while...

Next season it be either Marine or Robbie Savage’s Macclesfield  joining the NLN via the Play offs

Robbie Savage will have ‘em all scratching their heads about False Nine four, A Number 8, a number 10, “A Six with a Diamond” , etc!!!….   Msg to SC, Don’t ever consider RS for Manager!!!  Watch Leverkusen and see what wins every game!

Spennymore local derby next year, who knows what. Why are are we in Northern League anyway, Gloucester, Hereford just a farce.

Bromley have been promoted, via the play-offs to the Football League.  Average home gate this season was just over 1400.  Hope for Kings Lynn, going forward
