New signings
« on: April 27, 2024, 04:10:25 PM »
Thought we should have a new thread for players either coming to the Club, rumoured to be coming to the Club or players we would like to see coming to Club.

Just to kick things off.  How’s about Central midfielder, currently at Peterborough Sports. …. Josh McCammon.  He falls into at least one of those three categories.

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Jungle drums started early this season.   :laughcry:

At a guess and if true, they are probably not very confident in keeping Hargreaves.   :dontknow:

Would have thought it very likely that Hargreaves will join Widdler.....both at Bristol Rovers before.

Some names as possibles...Mols and Spenser at Curzon, and the one that got away earlier who is with Solihull and ended up at Brackley on loan whose name I can't recall.

I expect to see some signings early....take Crowe and Margetts out of our current retained list and it's pretty well the lot that struggled in the bottom 4 for most of the season.

With Scunny getting knocked out by Boston today could that spell the end of Jimmy Deans tenure at Glansford Park ?  If so maybe one or two players there of interest.

Can’t imagine a player wanting to move from Scunthorpe to our club.  Ground, support , and prospects in the league would rule the idea out, imho…

Listening to Ian Culverhouse after promotion, saying that he made 16 signings from the end of the previous season to now. Lynn are in a similar position to where Boston were a year ago....puts into perspective the amount of work to be done.

12 months ago think Boston had finished higher in the table than we have this season.  Have to give Culverhouse  the credit for gaining yet another NLN promotion.  Be interesting to see what is offloaded there.

I'm hearing Jordan Thewlis currently at Alfreton is on the wish list. 17 goals in the league last season albeit 6 penalties. Old Boston player I recall. Along with defender Adam Lund also Alfreton.
Andrew Boyce currently Scunthorpe United. Pretty sure he's been with us before?

Dereham lad just released by Posh, having been on loan at Sports.

Now a free agent.

6 ft 4?  But can he run, or trap a football?!  Has anyone seen him play?
