Blu dont you find it interesting to see which Clubs offer good value for money and give their fans who are prepared to support the Club early doors, a decent deal.

At 13 SC is certainly offering a decent deal.  So no one can use that one against him.  Maybe his pay on the day price needs a bit of a re think.  Then again he has said that fans who just support a winning team are no good to Kings Lynn.  So maybe they should pay through the nose.

By support I  presume he  means attending games, winning or losing.

It's the way of the world. Nothing new there. Winning team, bigger gates. Losing team, smaller gates. You'd think he'd be aware of that.

Bit of a silly thing to say really. Doesn't the Club want the extra few thousand that come through the gates when the Club is on a successful Cup run, and are supporting a winning team?

 :dontknow:

My view is naturally biased, being as i am of 'mature years', when for various age related reasons it is impractical for me to buy a season ticket.  So i prefer to buy a ticket when i know i am going to be able to attend. Recent concessionary pricing suggests to me that Mr Cleeve has little or no regard for the many elderly very long standing supporters who were active supporters of the club in its various incarnations, long before he realised that 'The Linnets' even existed and I'll be very surprised if there are  not others who share this view?

You're spot on Rod. Concessions and children's admission needs a total rethink.  Most clubs offer at least 25% discount to concessions some more.

A discount should also be considered to all who purchase a match ticket online up until midnight before the day of the match.  Again common with other clubs but not at Lynn.

Lets hope Mr Cleeve abolishes the ridiculous 23 Premier seating this season. Your view is still obstructed so nothing Premier about it.

Boston have now sold 825 season tickets.Ours aren't even on sale yet!What's that?circa 250k?
Scunthorpe have sold 1800.circa 600k?
Darlington beat the budget stands at 166k.
I guess that's the other side of having a Joe and his chequebook so we don't have to worry about such trivial matters.

Such trivial matters......like supporters!

Cant see why all the financial shortfall is expected to be covered by Joe.  Surely SC will be dipping his hand in pocket as well.  Otherwise whats the point of him being there ?

I'd love to know what's in it for the benevolent ultra generous 'Joe'?

For me, season ticket sales are a true measure of where a club is at. Any club, ultimately is just its fans....owners come and go. This is where the emphasis has to be , in building a club and connecting with the community. For as long as I can remember, Lynn's fan attendance has been erratic.......many only there if the club is doing well or for the big games. Hoping to build the club on the basis of throw money at it, get it promoted and the fans will come to see a successful team is short termism. You need a solid base in terms of fan and commercial support before setting off. I am a little surprised that so far there have been no new initiatives announced to encourage fans in or to get them on board. If SC is to be believed, that the club was in real financial trouble last term, then he must realise that Joe's input will only last so long too.

It really is high time that someone sat back, looked at revenues and came up with an inventive incentive to get people on board IMO. If this club was selling 500 season tickets a year, with all the spin offs from fan involvement that that could create and was able to have a boost the budget scheme which brought in 50k from fans, and had good commercial sponsorship, then with money that owners had to throw in too, the club might be in with a chance of competing at the next level.
Without that, I personally don't think there's much chance of progression.

So a 3.3% increase.  Nothing wrong with that.  I guess the true value of the season ticket will become apparent once the on the day admission prices are announced.  Can we assume they will increase by the same amount, pro rata ?

Some interesting ideas there put forward by the chairman with the idea, for example of being Chairman for the day.  Lets hope they dont make a better job of it than you, hey Stephen 🤓🧐
The ideas though are not going to appeal to your average fan Im guessing just milking the die hards for a bit more.

"Nothing wrong with that".

3.3% increase does not look too bad on the face of it but surely that depends where the starting point is. If it's too high to start with, the compounding effect just means it's getting worse all the time!

Any increase is no incentive when it comes to attracting new supporters.

And of course people will compare to other clubs prices, who may be charging less for a higher level of football and better facilities.

B&G I would suggest the club support is a steady 700 strong who will do just that and support the club through rain or shine and will pay whatever SC puts out there.   The rest will turn up to watch a successful team or for a one off big game.  So again they will pay the full ticket price.

That was situation last season so a 3% uplift for next season isnt going to change that

You're probably correct, but don't you think something has to change somewhere, if we needs gates to increase?

Obviously we all suffer from cost of living increases, but lets not also forget that energy prices have come down by a large amount, and the Club has released/not resigned the most expensive players on the books.

It would seem, again on face value, that the club will be receiving an increase in revenue, at the same time as a decrease in expenditure.

I'm not saying that's wrong, but there's always two sides of the coin when looking at such things, and the Club does seem to only want to point out the things that are in their favour.
