Kit launch and Q & A,
« on: July 02, 2024, 06:48:18 PM »
Will anyone be reporting back on tonight's Q & A with Mr Cleeve and AL as to what was asked and the response?

New shirts are striped.

Yes, I was thinking that......and the green away strip too.

Still it's a newish look for a new season.

Being a bit of a traditionalist, I would always go for an old fashioned blue and gold first strip and a predominantly gold with a dab of blue away strip.........but then I am getting old and still prefer the style of football played with heavier mitre balls, less than perfect pitches, an understandable offside rule and a referee whose decision was final who had no care for VAR :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

Agree with the stupid offside rule, flagging so late waste time and causes frustration, I thank god we don’t have VAR withe the standard of refs we have the game would last hours!

A conspiracy of silence emanating from the Q&A? Did all who attended have to sign an NDA? I wonder: also whether the elusive Joe put in an apperance?

Nothing of note to report, Rod. Most of the evening was taken up by the new kit presentation and introduction of the players wearing the new shirts.

The usual spiel fron the Chairman and a few bland questions to the Manager and that was it. All over in 40 mins and obviously no sign of Joe.

Makes you wonder if anyone other than invited guests attended. Surely the local media men should have covered it. If not, why not?

Colin, it was open house with probably 60/70 supporters in the room. I did chat to one potential sponsor who I knew but I didn't see any 'guests' as such. It was Greg Plummers birthday which was probably why he wasn't there.

Regarding Joe, I don't think we will ever see or hear anything from him.

that implies intelligence,!

Fair point but the intelligence by definition is artificial, which in many respects seems a good fit?!
