Final Friendly v Lowestoft.
« on: July 29, 2016, 05:33:30 PM »
Hopefully Setch will be able to go with his intended starting line up at some point during the game in readiness for Next Saturday.  Injuries and holidays permitting. Be good if Sands and Mettam can get some game time on the field at the same time as I don't think they have played together as yet. Hopefully they will gel together quite quickly. Lot of hopes being pinned on their joint shoulders

I am a little surprised that some players decided to go on holiday so close to the start of the season.

I don't know of the personal circumstances of any of the players but I do wonder what players with young families are supposed to do regarding holidays if their children are of school age  or who have partners that work in schools.

John Sands missus is a School Teacher, and I think this was the only week he could get plus costs go up on holidays once you go in August. It's hard for players re holidays etc etc
Roll on when the season starts

Luke Pearson was very good, I think Toby Hilliard just edged him as man of the match, in my opinion. He never stopped, and worked very well with Dylan Edge.
We looked much better than Tuesday night.
I was thirsty when I got home though!

Toby Hilliard: man of the match! He took his goal well but makes poor decisions in the final third.
