We where well beaten in the first half but a different story in the second half imo we have the makings of a very good side this season I was especially impressed with Ross Crane when he came on he made things happen, there was several others that looked good can’t wait for the season to begin with this showing we will do well

:scarf: If last night's display was what we are going to see at the Walks this season roll it on. Mr Lakeland has begun to show his talent and deserves thanks for our survival last season as we were in dire straits and congratulations on his signings. Hopefully, M Hill is correct and also the “unfaithful fans” will return to the fold

Thought Tommy Hughes showed his class last night lets hope he stays injury free. Excellent team performance.

Think there is a buzz building about the team for this season.  AL has gone about his business in a quiet unassuming way.  Plus he has said things off the pitch have also moved up a level.    Would like to see the media team really ramp on the PR in the next week or so. Be good to see an opening day crowd of in excess of a 1000.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Malcolm, the team played well enough in the 1st Half against a much pacier team from EFL Division 1. A couple of good goals by Northampton when they showed their class - uncharacteristic mistake by Callan McFadden gifted their 2nd. Second half started with us chasing the ball around the park as the Cobblers played possession football. Suddenly we came to life, especially after Subs came on. Crane showed amazing skills, reminiscent of Cameron Norman, and he dazzled on the Right Wing and attack after attack resulted in our 1st goal. It lifted the team and we took command of the game and a 2nd quickly followed. If the shot that nearly took the right post out of the ground had gone in we would have taken this game. Cobblers goalie save their blushes with a couple of good saves, as did Paul Jones for us. If this is how we are going to play this Season in NLN then we will be pushing a Play-Off place for sure.
