Guess two games in 48 hours was too much for us

Couldn't make today's game, but any coincidence that the two games we have lost its been a back 3 rather than 4?

. Somewhat frustrating that we couldn't find a way to win today and build on what had been achieved in Liverpool. Personally, I just don't understand why we went with 3 centre backs again.......are we so concerned about the forward lines of Alfreton and Peterborough that we have to compromise our set up ?

Good crowd today..........shame they didn't see better

A lethargic performance today from Lynn...relatively easy for Peterborough.Full time against part time I assume so even more strange.Teams seem to be working out how to play against us with ease.Its only early but it reminds me of last season.

I guess we shouldn’t get too optimistic. Let’s face it, last season was a struggle and to suddenly go to title contenders isn’t realistic. If we stay up without too much trouble then that’s good. If we challenge for a play-off place then that’s a bonus. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We need a season to rebuild and stabilise a previously failing enterprise. We’ve had a decent start and let’s face it, we’re still well-placed despite a second loss.

Dough I feel a lot of the key elements are there for a successful side.  Seems this is the 2nd time this season the players weren’t ‘up’ for the challenge.  AL comes across as a ‘nice guy’…. To nice maybe ?

Pink I agree with you.  Don’t know what this obsession of playing Coulson in a 3.  It’s like we are trying to find a way of getting him in the starting 11.   There is no way AL will
Play a 3/5 with Crane wide and with Margetts and Gold as a 9 and 10.   The system with a 4 and having the new loan lad sitting just in front  makes us look far more solid and more of an attacking threat

When AL is forced to play McFadden at right back the squad is getting stretched.So it looks as if the money men are needed again to dip into their pockets and bring in a couple of reinforcements as it looks like some players can't do two games in quick succession. Mayybe age is catching up with some of them. And dispite the Chairman and Joe paying for overnight stays when playing away it sounded like that's not enough for AL.How can this result be blamed on Saturdays travelling?   :banghead; A new team that AL has put together and will get better?Well that back line isn't from what I have seen! :banghead;

Time to take a deep breath.......and get behind the team I guess. We are all feeling the frustration and things are a little raw. I have seen the interview with AL and his frustration is also plain to see.

i don't know why AL should be the one that's frustrated. He signed the majority of the players and he selected the team and tactics  to play a home game in front of an enthusiastic crowd that had paid good money to watch. On this occasion he came up short. On to next Saturday.  :scarf:

The thing is you can put so much in place like, signing players on decent contracts, giving them full time training with all the benefits that come with that, overnight stays etc.  Yet it’s still 11 v 11 on the day and players who just train once a week and do a full time job can want it more or have extra motivation and end up coming out on top.

Mallard, like it used to be. Players who did not rely on football at this level as their main source of income - like Peterborough Sports!

So are you saying that having the expense that comes with a full time squad is a waste of time?   :dontknow:

Not at all. I’m saying one size doesn’t fit all and sometimes having all the benefits isn’t always enough.   Sometimes it’s down to human nature and will to win.    In the last two meeting between these teams, at the Walks the so called underdog has come out on top.   Coincidence?
