After Scarborough that’s a disappointing result. Consistency will come…I hope!

Don't knock Boston... at least they know where the goal is, it's more than we do.

On a positive note last season they beat us 4-0 at The Walks.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Cautious Kings Lynn are oh so easy for a growing number of teams to work out and beat. Also the fitness advantage between full time and part time appears to zero.

Nobody can claim that today's result is not an improvement!

Need more from all these attacking midfielders in terms of bulging the net. You look at the goals scored and I think I am correct in saying 7 from Gold and Jonny, one each from Tommy Hughes and the Assistant Manager and that's about it. Hopefully the two Josh's will grow into it, but it's a different game when the expectation is there..... probably a good deal more expectation that at Sports or Southport, with the greatest respect to those two clubs. Some of the squad are probably on a steep learning curve in terms of what is consistently required to remain in contention

8 games in and we have only taken 1 point for the top 17 teams.
Plants have feelings too.

The manager in his post match interview, although frustrated seemed to think that we are improving as we shipped two goals less than last season.

I'll bet there is also quite a difference in the playing budgets?

:nilpoints: Same as last season as far as playing CA. Why do we persist in over hitting crosses and think Gold is a Jack on the beanstalk with balls coming out from our half, there was also a lack of support at times for him. We lacked control in midfield whilst CA strutted around, they outplayed us and had some clear chances to win 5-0. This is not playoff more like just keeping above the relegation battle.

Maybe after 8 games we should look to re-asses things.

Last season we were a bottom 6 team so is a step up to Play-offs to much of ask in one season?  We could well end up a mid table team and anything higher is a bonus.   For us to be challenging might need SC and in particular Joe to dig a lot deeper to get us up there challenging.   We shouldn’t forget we are competing against some massive Clubs for this level.  Scunny, Hereford, Chester Darlo to name just a few.

I’ve listened to AL’s post match.  Ok the ref wasn’t what he would hope for but he didn’t deny us drawing a blank in terms of us finding the net.  I must say i preferred the forthright and tell it how it is Adam of last season than the one this season where he seems to be scratching around looking for excuses as to why he feels we underperformed

How many genuine attempts on goal did Lynn have today ?

It sounds like if Lynn concede first then they are in trouble....because sides will sit behind the ball , slow the game down and the ref is unlikely to be good enough to do anything about it. Given Lynn are full time, one might hope over the course of the next 6 weeks they might come up with a suitable way to deal with this situation, as they are likely to concede first again before too long..........most teams do every so often.
