Two second half goals confirmed The Walks outfit as champions on a fantastic day which will live long in the memory for many years to come.
Goalkeeper Steve Wilson set a new milestone for clean sheets by keeping his 18th of the season, while victory saw the Linnets bag their highest-ever points total of any league campaign.
Just for good measure – and to add to the evening of celebrations – Saturday's Eastern Division success saw them register the most number of wins on their travels with 12, while they equalled the most number of wins in a campaign with 28.
Jubilant joint manager Kevin Boon said: "I remember about four years ago sitting in front of a fans' forum and telling supporters about our plans and promising them a title.
"That has now become a reality and when Chris Bacon scored our second I felt a burst of adrenaline and my heart rate nearly shot through the roof.
"We have both come in for criticism as managers but the league table doesn't lie.
"Darren Bloodworth is one of the best coaches in Norfolk and I feel my man-management skills make for a great combination.
"Having played locally for 20 years under the likes of Rocky Lewis, John Button, Mick Simmons, Bob Taylor, Dudley Banson and Mick Davies, they all preached the same philosophy: 'If you go out there prepared to work hard, success will come', and that has what the players have done all season."
Boon added: "It's all about the football club as a whole today not just the players on the pitch.
"This is a fantastic achievement and reward for everyone working behind the scenes and the fans."
Those sentiments were also voiced by fellow joint boss Darren Bloodworth, who has now won back-to-back promotions with the Reserves and the first team, who said: "It hasn't really sunk in yet, but there are a lot of deserving winners today.

"The board, management committee, helpers at the club and media have all backed us throughout the season.
"There were a lot of doubters around the town, but the lads have proved their capabilities."
The game itself played second fiddle to the scenes and jubilation that followed at the final whistle – but it was still a match Lynn needed at least a point from with Histon winning 4-1 at Hastings.
David Staff, Carl Holmes and Dale Watkins all went close in a tense first period, where Lynn were indebted to the services of Wilson, who made an important one-handed save to his right to deny Hamid Barr close to the break.
Four minutes after the restart it was the hand of Fisher defender Terry Khan which led Lynn a step closer to their championship dream.
Staff's centre dropped to Holmes, whose shot was pushed away by the home defender. Lee Stevenson's follow-up shot was also kept out, although not as blatant as the first incident, and referee Mr Lodge had no hesitation in pointing to the spot.
Watkins, despite some delaying tactics from Ray Powell who was booked for his protests, confidently stepped up to fire the ball home.
Ten minutes from time Lynn's title dream was finally realised after a comedy of errors in the Fisher defence led to the second goal.
A bizarre mix-up between Steve McKenzie and Nejdet Hussain allowed Staff to cross for Bacon to gratefully blast the ball into the empty net.
Lynn's 600-strong army of fans, who were in fine voice and impeccably behaved throughout the afternoon, knew the title was finally on the way to The Walks on a day they will never forget.
