Chatham Town 1 King's Lynn 0
2nd December 2003
LYNN'S preparations for the game were disrupted by being stuck in a jam on the Dartford Tunnel, and their promising revival (two wins on the trot) under caretaker bosses Darren Bloodworth and Kevin Boon came to a sticky end in Kent on Tuesday.
After arriving at the ground at 7.20 for a 7.45pm kick-off, the game started five minutes late.

This performance had all the hallmarks of the poor midweek displays at both Rothwell and Corby.
Players and manager Alan Walker were watching from Tonbridge, who visit The Walks tomorrow, and who must have wondered if the Linnets were lulling them into a false sense of security.
And talking about slip-ups, the only goal came on 70 minutes when Mark Burrows slipped as he tried to clear just outside his box, and Frannie Collin took advantage to slam the ball past Wilson.
Lynn dominated play territorially but ran out of ideas when they came to the Chats' penalty area.
The visitors' best chance of the first half came when Jamie March crossed from the left and David Staff hit it first time only for Oliver Cotton, making his debut in the Chatham goal, to throw himself to his right and make a brilliant save. Carl Holmes and Jack Defty both headed over.
Earlier, on ten minutes, Steve Wilson had spilled an effort from Kenny Dyer, who hooked wide the rebound, and Collin fired over.
The second half was not much better. Substitute Malcolm Ndekwe had an effort blocked in front of goal, and ten minutes from the end Cotton saved from Holmes.
Six minutes later a Staff free-kick curled just over the bar, and at the other end sub Steve Rutter was denied by the onrushing Wilson in the dying seconds.
Lynn's hopes of lifting the Eastern Division title almost went with this defeat.
And unless The Walks outfit can start finding a winning formula on their midweek travels, the club may have to contemplate a finish outside the top seven.
