King's Lynn 3 Wisbech Town 0
3rd October 2000
WITH their first clean sheet of the season Linnets earned their second piece of silverware by retaining the Culey Cup. Tony Spearing was in charge of the side with manager Gary Mills watching FA Cup opponents.
"Tony said the lads had done well and could have scored more;" said Mills.
Lynn went ahead just before half-time when Jon Palmer set up Anton Thomas, whose low shot earned him his first goal for the club.
Sub Trevor Daniels burst in the box for the second goal, Ian Pledger could not hold his shot and the alert Palmer swept the ball in.
Two minutes later Linnets sealed the match when Puttnam's corner was side-footed home by Glen Fuff.
