St Neots 1 King's Lynn 2
5th August 2004
BOSTON United defender Ben Chapman made his debut on trial in the Linnets ranks at left-back, a Lee Stevenson free-kick settling this pre-season friendly on Thursday.
Ex-Canary Daryl Sutch also made his bow for the Blue and Gold with some good passes in midfield.
Stevenson, who went off at half-time and came on for Sutch on the hour, made a welcome return after recovering from a nasty-looking knock at Cambridge City a fortnight ago.
He took his chance when the lively Robbie Harris was brought down 20 yards out.
Danny Bloomfield finished off a pass from freshly-signed Mark Angel early on, but 30 minutes into the opening half Danny Griggs levelled for the UCL side.
Lynn: Wilson, Camm, Chapman, Burrows, Setchell, Sutch, Holmes, Stevenson, Battersby, Bloomfield, Angel. Subs, all used: Bacon, Jones, Blake, Harris, Hammond.
Att: 150. Referee: Paul McCall (Beds FA).
