Carlton Town 2 King's Lynn 2
6th March 2013
Setchell was delighted with Lynn's 2-2 midweek draw at Carlton, despite seeing his side lose their 100 per cent
record in 2013.
A late Ruben Wiggins-Thomas goal denied the Linnets three points after efforts from Phil Gulliver and Steve Spriggs had put Lynn ahead.
Wiggins-Thomas had opened the scoring for the hosts in the fifth minute.
Setchell, who felt his side should have had a penalty near the end, said: "We've come here and had a right go at it." "We certainly didn't lay down and die and I think we were the better team on the night.
"We knew about Carlton's long throw.
"We talked about it before the game and also again at half-time and we just didn't defend that one long throw good enough and in the end it
has cost us getting the three points.
"To come away here and get a point against a team who are pushing for the play-offs and who beat the league leaders isn't the end of the world and this might prove to be a big point come the end of the season."
