It was perhaps fitting that Steve Spriggs and Phil Gulliver scored in Lynn's latest win - on a weekend where both players were named in the EvoStik Division One South team of the season.
Spriggs notched his 26th goal of a whirlwind campaign to get the ball rolling against Loughborough, before Gulliver confirmed Lynn's supremacy by nodding home a second.
Lynn were perhaps never at their best on Saturday, but the three points were good enough to take them level on points with Coalville, who could only draw 1-1 at Stamford.
It also allowed Lynn to blow away the cobwebs of their Easter Monday defeat at Stamford.
On the accolade to Spriggs and Gulliver, Setchell said: "Phil has defended well for us all season.
"In the big games, where we've been under a lot of pressure, we've seen the best of Phil Gulliver.
"He's brought experience to the team and he has been a credit to work with.
"Spriggsy is a typical winger and to score 26 goals from midfield really is an astonishing effort.
"People still question and doubt him but he is a real matchwinner on his day.
"He is still young and has got time on his side. If he works hard on tackling and tracking back he could get even better in the next couple of years."
Setchell admitted that any number of his players could have easily made the team of the season.
"It's voted by the managers of all the clubs in the league so it's ever so hard to judge when you haven't seen much of every side.
"Jordan (Yong) has had a fantastic season and so have both Bunts (Richard Bunting) and Quigs (Dan Quigley).
"I feel that we could have easily had five players in the team, but so will the likes of both Coalville and Stamford."
Setchell was particularly impressed with the contribution of Jason Lee during Saturday's latest three points.
Although Lynn were rarely troubled at the back, when they were, Lee was on hand to make one goal-saving tackle and some other vital clearances.
"Jason has been excellent," said Setchell.
"He is a good defender. I think our two centre-halves (Lee and Gulliver) played really well, even in the first half.
"They were really solid and they're good players.
"It's a left-foot, right-foot combination, which makes it a lot easier for people setting balls and it gives you natural balance for the team.
"I'm happy with Jason, he's happy here and he's done brilliant."
With Stuart Wall set to return to the fold from his long-term injury in the summer, the Linnets could be spoilt for choice at the back next season.
