Match of the Day's goal of the month is looking toothless nowadays after the ban on phone-in competitions, so I give you Michael Frew – Lynn v Chippenham on Saturday, October 6.
The forward's stunning second-half strike was the icing on the cake of a good performance that signalled the Linnets' title intent.
Added to a first-half effort from John Turner, and a penalty miss and a sending-off for the visitors, and The Walks outfit were comfortably home.
Boss Keith Webb said: "We played very well, it was nice and solid. Apart from the penalty and one shot, I can't recall them causing us too many problems.
"We should've scored a couple more. It's something I emphasised at half-time, we've got to start getting people in the six yard box to score goals.
"When you've got players like Mark Camm and Craig Fleming who are not going to get forward, it's up to the four attackers, they've got to get in there."
Frew was booked for celebrating his wonder goal with his shirt off.
Webb said: "It was a great goal by Michael. He deserved it because he's worked hard and played well. Taking his shirt off afterwards, he's got a habit of doing that.
"If it ends up in a situation where he's got five of them, it'll be costly. It's a stupid rule, but the referee's got to abide by it."
On Chapman's rash lunge, he added: "It was a penalty. We got out of jail with that.
"That's the nature of the beast with Ben, so I've got to sit down with him and have a word.
"Aggression is part and parcel of his game, but anyone looking at that will think 'hang on, we can get something out of that'."
On Fleming's new midfield role, with skipper Mark Warren slotting back at centre-half after injury, Webb added: "He was superb, he kept it simple. It was nice for Shaun Carey.
"He will pick up the odd niggle, as he's been out for such a long time.
"We did the same thing last year, having a good start, but leagues aren't won in October."
Lynn ended the Bluebirds' ten-game unbeaten run as they kept the ball for long periods, and in the final ten minutes they were so comfortable it was like a training session.
Lynn had numerous opportunities, while the visitors' sole first half threat was a neat turn and shot by Sean Seavill which flashed past the post in the 27th minute.
Lynn finally broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, Joe Francis crossing from the left for John Turner to nip in front of his marker to guide home from close range.
Turner had arguably an easier chance just before half-time, but was denied by the legs of keeper Chris Snoddy.
Lynn were given a scare when Scott Howie was stranded after a poor clearance, but Luke Gullick wastefully volleyed wide.
On 50 minutes Frew showed him how to volley, and then some. Frew took advantage of giving a silly ball away.
A swift throw-in from Dean West and a quick run, and Frew unleashed a dipping 25 yard right foot screamer that had Snoddy flailing in vain.
Kye Holly was booked for dissent when Lynn got a free-kick for a foul on Fleming, and bizarrely received a second yellow card 30 seconds later for the same offence when the wall was being moved back.
Ben Chapman lunged at David Pratt and gave away a penalty. With regular penalty-taker Holly already off the field, Kevin Halliday's spot-kick penalty hit the bar dead-centre.
Halliday and Fleming had earlier been booked when Fleming lost his head after a high tackle by the defender.
Chippenham seemed resigned to defeat in the latter stages, which were enlivened by the sub appearance of Carey – his first in senior colours for more than a year with a broken leg.
Carey got a good reception, and added afterwards: "The fans have been superb to me all the way through."
