Lynn visited Cambridge in the FA Cup on Saturday and were defeated 4-1.
The Cambridge team included only two local men, whereas Lynn relied on purely local talent.
Both teams set a fast pace. Cambridge penned Lynn in but Fakenbridge was in brilliant form and Brown played the game of his life in goal.
Ferris opened the score for Cambridge just before half-time. Upon resuming Cambridge broke away and Gallego added a second.
Lynn fellaway and Cambridge added two quick goals through Barnard and Ferris.
Lynn rallied for Fenton to reduce the lead.
