Hucknall Town 1 King's Lynn 2
8th November 2008
ON-loan defender Luke Graham netted his first goal in Lynn colours as the Linnets came from behind to secure the points at Watnall Road.
Graham rose above the Hucknall defence to head home Joe Francis' free-kick ten minutes from time after Julian Joachim had levelled matters with his third goal in two games.
Hucknall belied their league position to lead in the first period as they made the Linnets look like the Blue Square North basement side.
Keith Webb's side struggled to contain the lively Hucknall front pairing of Dave Kettle and Danny Bacon.
Linnets keeper Scott Howie had already made a stop to deny Chris Shaw before Bacon handed the hosts the lead in the 15th minute.
Chris Timons missed a great chance to make it 2-0 when he fired over from a few yards out, while at the other end Hucknall goalkeeper James Lindley foiled Jack Defty, who produced Lynn's only noteworthy effort of the half.
Lynn bossed the second period with Mark Camm, on for the injured Adam Smith, and Scott Mitchell pulling the strings in midfield.
The equaliser came in the 63rd minute, when Michael Frew's cross deflected into the path of Joachim, who turned back the years with an instinctive piece of finishing.
Lindley was on hand to thwart Frew, while Defty blasted over.
With time ticking away, Francis delivered a pin-point centre from the left and Graham nodded home.
Howie was a virtual spectator in the second period.
