Enderby Town 1 King's Lynn 1
4th April 1977
AFTER THE heady atmosphere at Worcester the. previous night, Lynn came down to earth at Enderby, on Saturday.
Now they were playing on a bumpy pitch in front of about 100 spectators.
It was a totally different environment and they took time to settle down. But with Johnston and Green back in the defence, Enderby's early attacks were brushed aside. Keith Barker was back in goal with Trevor Farrow sustaining an ankle injury in the final minutes of the Worcester game.
When the home side did open the way to goal, Bradshaw and Trevor Massey squandered chances. But in the 15th minute Bradshaw made no mistake with a header after he had been left unmarked from a corner. Urged on by Wright, the Linnets pushedback and the skipper led by example when he made a penetrating run from his own half before releasing a pass to Moden who turned in a shot which Hewitt saved.

Lynn's equaliser Came in the 36th minute and also front a corner. Lill's centre was headed in by Moden and Lindsay, from close in, turned the ball over the line. It was Lindsay's first goal of the year.
In the second half Lynn did not give Enderby much room, especially with Rudd dropping back into midfield. A breakaway chance fell to Moden, who shot wide, and later Lindsay was off-target with another :header, but much of the play was in mid-field. Enderby finished the stronger, when Lynn were tiring, and Barker made an
excellent save from Walker who powered in a header. In the last minute John Massey stole up on the left to meet a centre and, his header was going into the top corner of the net until, Barker got his finger-tips to the ball and turned it over the bar.
