Linnets defender Adam Jones' 100th appearance for the club was overshadowed by his early sending off as Lynn dropped two crucial points against morning leaders Mangotsfield.
Jones was dismissed for violent conduct after a sudden moment of madness against Mangotsfield's Drew Shore.
Lynn's third successive draw saw them lose ground on the leading pack in the Southern League standings.
Manager Tommy Taylor had few complaints about Jones' early bath, saying: "Adam has let himself and his team-mates down.
"I thought the referee lost control at times, but I've got no qualms with the sending-off.
"Adam elbowed the lad and then went to head-butt him. You just can't do those kind of things and the other players have let him know that.
"You have to say that losing Adam cost us the game. We were completely dominating when it happened, but were then forced to change it.
"I don't usually come out and praise my players, but I couldn't have asked any more from them in terms of commitment.
"They ran themselves into the ground when we were a player short."
Taylor added: "We worked ever so hard and the players are a disappointed bunch in the changing room.
"For an hour against the leaders with 10 men you couldn't honestly say that we were second best throughout and I thought Halesowen were a better side last weekend."
On an afternoon of milestones, Taylor opted to field his most experienced side with both Sam McMahon and Jack Defty returning to the starting line up.
Defty's inclusion paid dividends when with three minutes on the clock, he squared the ball to Bloomfield to side-foot home his 50th goal for the club.
The same pair combined shortly after following a long John Higgs goal-kick, but Bloomfield wasted the opportunity to double Lynn's advantage.
Like their namesakes Man Utd from Old Trafford in the last week, Mangotsfield were all at sea early on, with goalkeeper Danny Greaves playing an embarrassing part in what can only be described as a pantomime performance on his part.
Greaves lent Lynn a helping hand with a strange throw which hit Bloomfield on the back of his head, which The Walks outfit failed to take advantage of, before a suspect parry to thwart Cedric Anselin.
Chances were few and far between for the visitors, who were handed a lifeline when Jones clearly hit out at Shore, with both players on yellow cards for earlier infringements.
Jones could perhaps count himself unlucky for his earlier yellow after clearly winning back the ball, but referee Mr Blackledge was left with no other alternative than to issue the defender a straight red for his loss of temper.
Both captains were given a stern lecture by the man in the middle, who had helped matters reach boiling point with some of his decision making.
Lynn continued to hold the upper hand, but they were unable to find a second goal.
A breakdown in communication between Grant Cooper and Dean West nearly gifted Luke Prince an equaliser six minutes before the break.
Two minutes before the break Lynn's best chance of a second goal eluded them when Defty's goalbound header was hacked off the line by Mark Summers.
The second period was always going to provide a different kind of test with Mangotsfield holding a one-man advantage.
But it wasn't until midway through the half that the visitors levelled with their first effort on target.
Man United's Ross Casey provided a centre from the left and substitute David Anyinsah bundled the ball home.
Anyinsah's strength and pace caused Lynn all kinds of problems and four minutes later he turned provider for Robbie Claridge to force John Higgs into an impressive save.
