Combination of a bumpy pitch and gusty wind made it difficult for either side to get control.But despite the lack of goals this match on Good Friday did not lack for incident.
Oswestry, challenging for league honours, showed more skill in midfield than we have
seen from visiting sides. The diminutive Pete Wilkey in particular was a highly competitive character continually urging on his side.
Wilkey saved his side in the first half heading an inswinging corner by Roy MCManus off the line with his keeper beaten.
Lynn's best period came early to the second half when Duncan Wiles was narrowly wide with a fierce shot and Keith Rudd hit the foot of the post from a narrow angle.
When Richard Johnston blasted in a shot from 15 yards, goalkeeper Leggett palmed the hall out and Clive Adams bravely went in for a header which went over.
During this incident Adams received a hard knock on the head and was taken off on a stretcher and later went to hospital for a precautionary check-up.
While Lynn were mill reorganising. with Nigel Saywood now on. Oswestry pushed forward and Phil Ringwood made flying saves from Wilkey and Paul Hampson.
Lynn had the last word with a shot from Rudd in injury time which flew just over the top.
Three players were booked. Adams for a foul. Wilkey and Telford for dissent.
