LINNETS midfielder Danny White was the late hero as Lynn came from behind to do their manager proud.
White pounced to stab home a dramatic 87th minute winner to settle an absorbing cup clash between these two step five sides at The Walks.
Linnets manager Gary Setchell said: "We stayed in the game after going an early goal down and showed tremendous character to comeback.
"It would have been easy for the players to sorry for themselves, especially when Stratford pulled it back to 2-2.
"I�m so proud and pleased for them as they came in for so much criticism after what happened on Tuesday night.
"Ben Coe has come in and given us tremendous energy on the left, Jack Defty was at his best with two goals and Danny White was brave to score the winner.
"It really was a tremendous team effort and we�re really going to enjoy this moment.
"This victory is probably the highlight of my managerial career so far. The only days you get like today in the league are when you win it."
Stratford boss Morton Titterton conceded that the Linnets were deserving winners.
Titterton said: "Obviously I�m disappointed with the result, but I accept that the better side won.
"We didn�t play at our best, and in particular we didn�t hold on to the ball well enough which put us under added pressure and meant that we couldn�t create the openings we needed."
Stratford�s opener came when Mykel Beckley and Stuart Wall jostled for a no more than hopeful long ball, which eventually fell to dangerman Ben Mackey to rifle home from 20 yards.
The equaliser came seven minutes into the second half when Danny Beaumont picked up a poor goal kick on the right.
He seized the opportunity to sprint past Baker and reach the byline before squaring the ball in to Defty who finished brilliantly at the far post.
Lynn took the lead when a long ball from Beaumont picked out Defty on the left channel and the big frontman applied the finish with a brilliant lob over the goalkeeper.
The Stratford equaliser came out of nothing through long-serving midfielder Faulds, who netted with a spectacular shot which rocketed past the startled Street into the top of the net.
Mackey went close with a shot across goal from a Faulds pass and Street then did well to reach a Haynes cross as Mackey waited to pounce.
But just when it seemed that a replay was inevitable the Linnets broke Stratford hearts as they nicked the winner with three minutes of normal time left.
Spriggs was again involved as he threaded the ball through a tangle of legs on the edge of the penalty area and White was in the right place to toe-poke it past Morris with the ball having just enough pace to creep inside the post.
Stratford had no option but to pile forward, but a Gregory header easily held by Street was the nearest they came to forcing a midweek replay.
