LYNN returned home with the Dereham Charity Cup on Wednesday after an intriguing game with the Anglian Combination side.A far post header by Keith Rudd from a cross by David Goose in the 30th minute separated the teams and Lynn missed several chances to take control.
Towards the end of the game Dereham came back and were awarded a penalty when Peter Benefer handled. John Chancy took the shot and hit it high and wide. Lynn have won the impressive trophy at least eight times before and are likely to be invited to defend it next season.
