THE goals continued to flow at The Walks as Lynn sent the l0-men of sorry Solihull crashing to the bottom of the Premier Division table on Saturday.Tommy Taylor's troops were in cruise control for the first 45 minutes, notching six goals in the first half of a Southern League match for the first time in the club's history to lead 6-2 going into the break.
The recent goal blitz under Taylor-.has seen 26 goals scored in Lynn's last three home league games - just under a remarkable average of nine a game.
But while Lynn continue to score for fun, their generous defence is still a concern for Taylor, who hopes the imminent arrival of Lee Shearer from Gravesend will go some way to solving the problems at the back.
Taylor said: "Lee has had 10 years in the Conference and he will boss the rest of the defence around. I will continue to look to bring in another centre-half to put pressure on the other two I already have here.
"We gave Solihull too much room and space in the second half. We stopped working and I was disappointed with conceding three goals - our defenders were all over the place.
"I was obviously happy with seven goals, but I told the players that I expected nine at the interval."
Lynn got off to the perfect start when the reliable Jack Defty climbed above the Solihull defence to send home a looping header from a Mark Angel free-kick.
Two more opportunities went begging before Carl Holmes sent home a thunderous volley for Lynn's second following a delightful Defty lay-off in the 22nd minute.
Defty then slid home Angel's centre minutes later to make it 3-0, before Lynn's defence went to sleep to gift Solihull their first through Mark Shepherd.
Lynn made it 4-1 in the 35th minute when debutant George Georgiou crossed for Danny Bloomfield to net his 17th of the campaign.
A controversial corner saw Matt Hawker stick his leg out and make it 4-2y but Lynn soon regained their three-goal advantage through a Holmes header in the 42nd minute.
Seconds before the break, Georgiou threaded a fine pass through to Bloomfield, who was brought down in the box by Peter Barry.
Barry received a straight red card before Gary Setchell stepped up to blast home the resulting spot-kick off the underside of the bar.
The goal glut of the first period didn't materialise after the interval with Lynn going into frustrating mode despite their one-man advantage.
Solihull were by far the better side after the restart and made it 6-3 in the 61st minute when Bob Taylor found space to score off the post in the 61st minute.
The visitors had a further chance to reduce the deficit before Linnets captain Angel gave the 804-crowd something to cheer in the second half when he volleyed in at the far post.
