Northampton Spencer 3 King's Lynn 4
19th April 2011

THE Linnets completed their away league programme with a narrow victory over Northampton Spencer.
Lynn were always ahead in this seven-goal thriller, but gave their supporters a few anxious moments before rubber-stamping the three points.
Joint Linnets manager Gary Setchell said: "It was a good three points considering a few of our players were playing with niggling injuries
"Danny White came in and is now almost back to his old self.
"It has taken him a good while to recover. It wasn't as though he had flu as viral meningitis is nasty and took a lot out of him."
The Walks outfit took a two goal lead through a Danny White header and a Jamie Thurlbourne free-kick but Bobby Leah headed home from a corner to give a 2-1 half-time scoreline with Lynn living dangerously at times.
Steve Spriggs missed an early second half sitter before restoring Lynns two-goal margin, but with 20 minutes remaining Dan Stewart scored for the home side.
Chris Bacon diverted a Dan Buhlemann pass into the home net but Spencer came back again through Lewis Haycock to set up a tense finish.
