SPEARING declared himself happy after seeing his side open their Christmas programme with a point at Worcester on Saturday.Lynn came from behind before claiming a share of the spoils thanks to Jon Palmer's seventh strike in six games.
"All of my players were magnificent especially after coming into the game following two heavy league defeats on the bounce, " said Spearing.
"When we arrived at the ground I sat the players down and told them what I expected and they delivered on all fronts."
Chances were few and far between in a scrappy clash. "We created five or six good opportunities before we even scored," continued Spearing.
Worcester's first chance in the 25th minute resulted in them taking the lead through Mark Owen, who pounced on the loose ball after Chuck Martini had saved Ray Woods' initial shot.
The hosts' opener spurred Lynn into life and they missed chances before Palmer turned home Tommy Wright's centre six minutes before the break.
City looked the more dangerous after the break and Martini foiled Mike Wyatt with a fine save to his right.
Simon Dakin was lucky to stay on the pitch following a scything challenge on Ian Cottrill having already been booked.
