STRIKER Anthony Robinson's tenth goal of the campaign wasn't enough to hand Lynn victory at the blustery surroundings of the Arriva Stadium.
Lynn looked set for their second 1-0 victory in the space of a week in the north-west before a late equaliser from Tony Davies gave the hosts a share of the points.
Both sides made changes following the FA Trophy clash a week earlier, with Lynn bringing back Lethaniel Rowe-Turner in defence, while Joe Magunda returned to the midfield.
With the elements in the favour, Lynn dominated the first period and a combination of poor finishing and some fine saves from Marine goalkeeper Tim Dittmer denied them a first-half advantage.
Linnets full-back Danny Spencer had Lynn's first effort on target when his free-kick flew past the Marine defensive wall before Dittmer pulled off an excellent stop low down at the foot of his post.
Dittmer was in action again soon after, foiling the lively Ben Muirhead, before the same player saw his header cannon off the angle of a post and the crossbar.
Muirhead was a constant thorn in the Marine side and midway through the half he linked up with player-boss Carl Heggs to square an inviting cross, which the inrushing Owen Story somehow spooned over the bar as a gaping goal beckoned.
Just when it looked as if Lynn would be made to pay for failing to make the most of their first half dominance, Robinson fired them in front two minutes after the restart.
Heggs was the source of Lynn's goal, flicking the ball into Robinson's path before the striker netted with a neat shot on the turn from close range.
Robinson's opener spurred The Whites into life and it was the hosts who poured forward for the remainder of the game.
Marine's Peter Cumiskey found himself through on goal, but the veteran wing wizard was denied by a top-class save from Danny Gay, who raced off his line to block the Marine man's chipped shot.
In the 70th minute, Marine substitute Paul Crewe crossed from the left for the lurking Stephen Johnson to hit the post, the ball rolling along the line into the clutches of Gay.
Jamie Rainford then diverted a Michael Jackson centre just wide of the target as the Lynn goal began to live a charmed life.
The equaliser eventually arrived from a Steve Hussey corner, which Davies met with a soaring header in to the top corner from eight yards out.
Davies then turned saviour at the other end as both sides went all out to win the game, producing a marvellous block to prevent a certain goal before Robinson blazed over the bar.
Crewe nearly won it for Marine at the death with a toe-poked effort, which Gay scrambled around a post but a draw was a fair result on the day.
