JOINT King's Lynn Town boss Kevin Boon singled out midfielder Danny White after watching his side fire an early warning to their United Counties Premier League title rivals.
White netted his first goal of the league campaign as Town tore previously-unbeaten Newport Pagnell to shreds in a five-star performance at The Walks.
While wing-wizard Jamie Thurlbourne had an involvement in all of the goals and Jack Defty took his season's tally to 12 with a brace, it was the all-round performance of White which drew the most praise from his manager.
A delighted Boon said: "There were outstanding performances out there today and at times some of our football was breathtaking.
"When you've got players of the calibre of Jamie Thurlbourne putting balls into the box it must be so difficult for any team, but the lad who stood out for me today was Danny White.
"His display today showed what he is all about. Whenever we got the ball into the box Danny was there and he tracked back when we needed him to. His fitness levels are unbelievable.
"I also thought that Luke Thurlbourne had his best game of the season so far."
Boon believes the best is still to come as Lynn switch their attentions back to the FA Vase this coming weekend.
"People keep setting us targets and we keep hitting them, but I don't want us to peak until April," admitted Boon.
"I think we will only get better and better and there's such a sense of togetherness within the squad.
"After this result it feels as though King's Lynn Town have really come alive as a club. The crowd was fantastic again and really you can't get much better than this on a Saturday afternoon.
"When other clubs see this result I'm sure it will make them sit up and they will realise that this place is a fortress to come to."
Lynn got off to a flying start when Stuart Ablett nodded them ahead after three minutes, only for the visitors to equalise through Darren Lynch in their first attack of the game two minutes later.
White restored Town's lead seven minutes later following a neat lay-off by Defty from Jamie Thurlbourne's delightful pass.
Jamie Thurlbourne netted with a trademark free-kick to give Lynn a 3-1 half-time lead and it was more one-way traffic after the interval.
Defty's delightful looping header from an inch-perfect Jamie Thurlbourne centre made it 4-1 before the big striker reacted quickest to another Jamie Thurlbourne pullback 14 minutes from time.
The only downside for Town were injuries to defender Stuart Ablett, who was stretchered off the field with a dislocated shoulder, and Jamie Alsop, while it was confirmed after the game that Brady Stone might be sidelined for longer than first anticipated after a fresh setback with his ankle injury.
