Wealdstone 0 King's Lynn 0
30th December 2006
The referee called a halt to proceedings at half-time after a deluge of rain at Northwood FC.
A heavy shower shortly after 4pm, which left surface water on the pitch, confirmed that the match officials had made the right decision.
Linnets boss Keith Webb said: "It was probably the right decision to abandon the game, but I was disappointed.
"That was the best we've played since I took over. We tried to play football on a difficult pitch and the longer the game went on the boys seemed to be enjoying it.
"Apart from the odd counter-attack from Wealdstone we looked quite comfortable.
"I'm frustrated because it now means another trip in midweek and we've got plenty of them to fit in already."
Lynn had the better of the chances in difficult conditions against a side who had failed to keep a clean sheet this season and, who along with the Walks outfit, had one of the worst recent form records in the league.
Fraser Toms forced a save from the home keeper on two minutes and Grant Cooper, who limped off suffering with hamstring problems again shortly after, missed a good chance soon after when he fired straight at the keeper.
Nolan hit the bar with a header just before half time.
