LINNETS captain Mark Warren and Matt O'Halloran both saw red as The Walks outfit
suffered their third defeat in four games on Saturday.Warren and O'Halloran both received their marching orders in an ugly end to the second half after the hosts had taken the lead from the penalty spot a few minutes earlier.
O'Halloran was dismissed for violent conduct, before Warren followed him for an early bath four minutes later after tangling with home skipper Nathan Rudge.
Linnets boss Keith Webb said: "I was disappointed and I just felt the referee was intent on giving a penalty during the game.
"In my eyes it was just a tangle of legs and nothing else.
"We hit the crossbar and were well on top in the second half, but they broke away to get their penalty.
"We didn't try and get the ball down and play, which is very disappointing."
On Lynn's double dismissal, Webb said: "I think some frustration came in on our part.
"I would have expected our senior players to know better, but I'm not sure if the referee has got it right.
"Matt's sending-off was harsh and I've seen players get sent-off for a lot worse in my footballing career, while Mark Warren has said that he didn't touch the guy, who went down as if he'd been shot."
The breakthrough came with little more than ten minutes remaining when Mudge raced on to Chris Bale's through ball, only to be clumsily tripped by Warren.
The striker got up and sent the keeper the wrong way before the handbags came out as Lynn lost their discipline.
Matt Nolan fired the first shot in anger as he turned on the edge of the box and drew a smart save from Danny Barker.
Allcock was looking lively on the flank and he put a couple of very dangerous crosses into the box as Tivvy began to get on top.
Close to the break, Linnets keeper Shaun Marshall produced an excellent save to beat away a stinging drive from Bale that had come through a crowd of players.
Lynn's best chance arrived just after the hour mark when Andrew Thomas surrendered possession and gave Michael Frew a clean run on goal.
Fortunately for the hosts, Frew could only hit the bar with Barker beaten.
Lynn's best work came courtesy of new signing Jamie Gould, who delivered some dangerous centres on the left.
This defeat saw Lynn lose their proud 100 per cent record at Tiverton, while the club have now failed to score in any of their last four away games.
