Lynn remained in third place in the table having brushed aside Needham Market but their victory takes them two points clear of the the chasing pack.
One change was made to the starting line-up to that of Boxing Day with Ryan Hawkins coming in for Chris Henderson who was carry a slight knock and took a place on the bench.
Despite starting the day in sixth place in the table Needham's record against those above them was not impressive with home defeats against Kettering and Rushden & Diamonds and their larges league gate of the season saw them totally outplayed in the first half. #Lynn were on the front foot from the off, their first chance falling to Craig Parker, playing against his former club, but he headed narrowly wide from Frazer Blake-Tracy's cross with just two minutes on the clock.
Lynn's game plan might have been disrupted on six minutes when Jordan Richards pulled up with a hamstring injury but it didn't stop Lynn.
The visitors took the lead on 12 minutes, Michael Gash's knockdown setting up Parker to strike from some 20 yards.
It took just two minutes for Lynn to double their lead, thios time Adam Marriott converting Blake Tracy's centre.
The home side pulled a goal back against the run of play on 26 minutes, Adam Mills heading home Callum Strugess' corner.
Lynn restored the two goal cushion on 32 minutes, Rory McAuley with a neat turn and volley and added a fourth four minutes later, Parker getting his second, rounding the 'keeper to score.
Just before the break Mills picked up his second booking of the afternoon following an off the ball incident with Michael Clunan.
Despite being down to ten men the home side did manage more possession in the second half without really testing Lynn who remained in control.
With four minutes remaining Joseph Marsden latched on to a Reece Dobson pass but his shot was turned over the bar by Alex Street to deny Needham.
