Farsley's lowest gate of the season so far, saw them spring a surprise as they defeated the high flying Linnets and saw the relegation strugglers end their run of three games without a goal.
For Lynn it was only the second time this season that they had failed to score in a league match.
Adam Crowther, back from suspension, took the place of Kyle Callan-McFadden in an otherwise unchanged Lynn starting line-up.
The host had the better start with Frank Mulhern producing a couple of early chances before Josh Coulson replied for Lynn with an effort that went over.
Farsley took the lead on 15 minutes with Mulhern latching on to Jimmy Spencer’s long ball to finish over the stranded Paul Jones.
Lynn fell further behind on 34 minutes when a Mulhern through ball took a deflection to find Carlton Ubaezuonu to score into the bottom corner.
Lynn came more into the game but found Max Dearnley in the home goal in fine forming making two good saves with Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joshua Barrett being denied.

Farsley did enough after the break to claim the points with Lynn’s best efforts coming from Gold Omatoyo whose attempt from Cameron Hargreaves’s cross was blocked by Andy Butler.
Lynn’s next chance fell to Joshua Coulson after a good flick-on from Ken Charles, but his scuffed shot failed to test Dearnley.

While Lynn can can look at their games in hand and argue that it is enough to take them top of league, AFC Fylde are now in a position to top Lynn.
