King's Lynn Town recorded their first goalless draw of the season as they held on for a valuable point at Croft Park.
Without the likes of Gold Omotayo, Michael Clunan, Olly Scott and Cameron Hargreaves it was an opportunity for Tommy Hughes to make his debut with Kyle Callan-McFadden and Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain also given starts.
Second from bottom Blyth had the better of the early chances, the first coming around 10 minutes when Josh Gillies' ball into the box was flicked into the path of Isaac Walker by Cedric Main but Paul Jones was on hand to produce a good save.
Four minutes later Walker got past McFadden to provide a chance for Main but he was prevented getting his shot away.
Ben Stephens was denied by a good save from Alex Mitchell who was also called upon to keep out a Josh Barrett free kick from some 30 yards.
Lynn pressed more after the restart with Stephens heading a Hughes' cross.
Blyth responded to pressure from Lynn, closing down their attacks.
On 72 minutes a cross into the Lynn area caused a goalmouth scramble with Jordan Hickey having a shot cleared off the line with Jones beaten.
In the final seconds Nicky Deverdics' cross into the box caused problems with Danny Barlow hitting the upright with a header before going out for a goal kick.
