Lynn went three points clear at the top on the National League North table with a straightforward win over Blyth Spartans.
Lynn gave starts to Aaron Jones and Sonny Carey with Sam Kelly (groin strain) and Tom Ward (taken ill last week) not taking part.
Lynn started brightly, winning the first corner in 17 seconds but the earlier chances fell to Blyth with Michael Clunan doing well to break down a Callum Roberts chance and
Alex Street smothering a chance after a Rory McAuley loose ball had given the visitors an opportunity.
Lynn took the lead on 16 minutes through Chris Henderson who scored from close range, picking up a loose ball after the visitors’ defence had failed to deal with a deep Jones cross had been headed down by Michael Gash.
Henderson then turned provider for Lynn’s second. A superb Ross Barrows pass from the Lynn half set off Henderson whose cross found Gash who slotted home.
The visitors did try to get more into the game after the break but they offered little in attack and their trip to The Walks became their seventh, out of ten away league games, in which they had failed to score.
Further chances fell to Lynn with Marriott and Richards both testing Zach Hemming and then Jones, Marriott and Henderson going narrowly wide.
With five minutes remaining Hemming produced a terrific save to deny Marriott but Lynn’s leading scorer was not to be denied Substitute Ryan Hawkins was played in by Gash who slid the ball to Marriott to score.
