King’s Lynn Town moved to top of the table as they maintained their 100% record to send last season’s second placed club away with back-to-back defeats .
Lynn were deserving of their victory although they were one down at half time and were finding the Brackley defence hard to penetrate.
Manager Tommy Widdrington named an unchanged side for the third time and were soon attacking the visitor’s goal with Saints’ keeper Danny Lewis producing a reflex stop to deny Cameron Hargreaves and then rushing to clear when pressured by Jordan Ponticelli.
Play became more even and it was the visitors who were the first to find the back of the net, Glenn Walker’s corner finding the head of Gaz Dean after 22 minutes.
Lynn applied pressure but the Saints’ were tough to break down although a chance did present itself on 38th minutes when Gold Omotayo’s shot, from Ponticelli’s cross and Hargreaves’ flick-on, was straight at Lewis.
At the other end, Brackley were denied a second goal when Josh Coulson was on hand to intercept the ball with Callum Stead waiting at the far post.

Lynn put further pressure on the visitors’ goal on the restart and it paid dividends on 65 minutes when Michael Clunan’s cross found the head of Omotayo at the far post.
Soon after Ponticelli had a shot superbly kept out by Lewis and just as it looked like the the points would have to be shared Omotayo was on hand to finish from Josh Barrett’s cross.
