King’s Lynn Town progressed to an FA Cup Third Qualifying Round tie against Kettering Town with a 3-0 win over Bedford Town in this replay.
Having drawn at The Walks on Saturday, manager Tommy Widdrington made three changes to the starting line-up with Kyle Callan-McFadden given his first start since 27 November.
Also starting was Cameron Hargreaves and Jordan Ponticelli with Tyler Denton and Ben Stephens dropping to the bench while Michael Clunan was ruled out with illness.
The first effort of note fell to the home side when, from a throw, Joe Butterworth shot from distance - his effort going across goal and narrowly wide.
Lynn were more fortunate on 19 minutes when a Hargreaves cross could only be helped on by former Linnet Charley Sanders to Gold Omotayo to score his sixth goal of the season.
Josh Barrett went close two minutes later as did Aaron Jones soon after while at the other Bedford were winning on the corner count as they increased the pressure but neither keeper was severely troubled.
The second goal that Lynn needed to put them fully in the driving seat came on the stroke of half-time. An Olly Scott free kick found the head of Omotayo who hit the post and Josh Coulson was on hand to tap the rebound home.
The Eagles continued to try to find a way back into the game with Paul Jones punching Butterworth’s effort away on 53 minutes.
Crowther then managed to get a foot in to deny Connor Tomlinson a clear shot.
At the other end Barrett hit the crossbar on 58 minutes and Alex Street had to tip over a stinging shot five minutes later.
Lynn made the game safe on 65 minutes, Cameron Hargreaves’ shot from some 20 yards creeping in by the post to record his first goal for the club.
