Lynn's search for a clean sheet continues as they went down 2-0 at Torquay.
A long list of injuries resulted on just two players on the bench and while the Gulls also had players out through injury and suspension they were able to give debuts to loan players
Sinclair Armstrong and Harry Perritt.
Lynn keeper Paul Jones was called into action on three minutes to keep out a drive from Armstrong who had got the better of Kyle Callan-McFadden.
Although the home team dominated the opening period neither keeper was seriously troubled and Lynn came more into the game with Ross Barrows fractionally short of getting on the end of a Brett McGavin free kick.
Another Lynn free kick was headed across goal by Ethan Coleman but Ross Barrows and Gold Omotayo were unable to apply a finishing touch.
Just after the half hour Malachi Linton fed Michael Clunan whose shot from distance skimmed the outside of the post.
Torquay rallied, their efforts being rewarded four minutes before the break.
A long throw from Dean Moxey was headed out by Luis Fernandez only as far as Armstrong who rifled home from just inside the 18-yard box.
Soon after the restart another Moxey long throw found the head of Joe Lewis but the Lynn defence managed to scramble the ball away.
Lynn responded with a Coleman effort which ended in safely the arms of Shaun MacDonald and McGavin had a 63rd minute free kick which went narrowly wide.
Klaidi Lolos went on a charge into the Lynn half but his shot from just outside the box was blocked by Barrows.
On 71 minutes another throw by Moxey found the head of Lewis but Jones saved.
Lynn were struggling to create chances as the Gulls pressed for a second goal and that arrived on 77 minutes when a ball into the box resulted in a scramble with the ball eventually falling nicely for
Lewis to score from close range.
Torquay had further chances with Jones going full length to keep out Armstrong's shot and Keelan O'Connell's shot being deflected away for a corner.
